Tasting Notes
"Opens with a luscious nose. At its sweet fruit core is a bramble of raspberry and black fruits circled by Syrah's violet aromatic edge. As the wine develops, it presents a hint of coffee bean and smoke and an intense finish of cedar and a touch of toast.
Similar to the nose, this wine offers a generous amount of ripe, sweet fruit on the palate. It's marked with a broad mouth-feel and voluptuous, smooth tannins that make the wine very approachable at an early age. The wine offers bright acidity, classic Larkmead mineral character and a long peppery (Syrah dominant) finish.
This wine shows strong vineyard character despite the unusual variety mix. Drink now or age up to 5 years."
