Lillie Sauvignon Blanc

Allocated & Winery Only

Our 2013 Lillie exhibits classic Sauvignon Blanc aromas and flavor profile. Part grapefruit and lemongrass are present in the perfume, and a hint of oak aging on the nose that is intended to draw down the brightness of the wine. As the wine spends time in the glass the nose gains weight and adds a broader richness of almond and fig which carries through to the front of the palate before the austerity of the high acid vintage cleans the palate with a citrus rind freshness and a salinity that makes this a wine a candidate to consider cellaring.

Fruit:100% Estate grown fruit, produced and bottled at Larkmead Vineyards
Varietal Composition:100% Sauvignon Blanc
Aging:French oak foudre 'Mark Grenier' and French oak barrels for 8 months

"Wonderfully floral and mineral. White peach, flowers, mint and crushed rocks emerge from a wine with more than a passing resemblance to the great Graves whites. The persistent, textured finish proves to be absolutely irresistible."
