2007 Pre-Release Open House

We were thrilled to host an Open House at Larkmead Vineyards on October 20, 2007 where we previewed our 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, the first vintage crushed and crafted at the new Larkmead winery. Around one hundred guests joined winery owners Cam and Kate Solari Baker along with Winemaker Andy Smith, and Winery Manager Colin MacPhail. Guests also sampled 2006 Cabernet from Barrel and 2007 Cabernet from Tank, allowing everyone to see how the wines truly develop over time. In addition we poured the 2006 Tocai Friulano, made from a white Italian varietal grape that is harvested from the oldest vines on the property.

Chef Adam Goldring prepared Potage au Pistou among other delightful treats, while Richard Charette, Larkmead's Scottish Bag-Piper, serenaded guests. Two additional exclusive offerings, a 2004 Cabernet Horizontal (750ml, 1.5L, 3L, 6L) and 2001-2004 Solari Reserve Magnum Vertical, offered a lot of excitement. The weather cooperated wonderfully and a grand time was had by all.
